Get ready for the 46th annual Klickitat Canyon Days Festival! Join us as we celebrate life in the canyon both Friday and Saturday. Most events are free, and there will also be lots of great food, gear, and wares to purchase. It will be sunny and hot, so come prepared and bring your swimsuit! Free parking is available past the fire hall (next to the caboose) as well as in the school parking lot. The Sage Coffee Shop and Bakery and The Canyon Market provide great food and drink options all weekend long. Enjoy a free hotdog dinner on Friday night at the Community Center, the Fire Department fundraising breakfast on Saturday morning, and food vendors at the Community Center starting at 9 on Saturday. The 2023 Grand Marshals of Canyon Days are The Ladies Auxiliary of Klickitat! This group has been hosting events for the benefit of the Klickitat community for almost a century! Three members will represent the group in Saturday’s parade: Donna Gilliam, Kathy Wickman, and Traci Kessinger. However, all members of the Ladies Auxiliary, past and present, are being honored for their service to the community. Their main event is handing out Santa’s sacks to children at Christmas, and they fundraise for this with the Hunters’ Breakfast at the beginning of hunting season, which is open to the public.
